Matt Lee is a Chartered Landscape Architect and urban designer with more than 20 years' experience as a built environment professional.
Matt holds masters degrees in both Landscape Design and Urban Design and believes that a good understanding of both these disciplines is the key to designing successful and meaningful landscapes and places.
Starting his career at David Bellamy's Environmental Consultancy in Durham, Matt was more recently a senior associate and team leader of the multi-award-winning residential landscape design team at Liz Lake Associates.
Matt's designs for public realm in residential developments at this time won numerous national design awards including the Gold Award in the Best Landscape Design Category of the What House Awards and Gold Awards in both the Best Communal Garden and Best Landscape categories of the Daily Express New Homes Garden Awards.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in 2012, Matt prepared a town centre public realm appraisal followed by outline public realm proposals for Basildon town centre, informing a new master plan for the town centre. This was Britain's largest urban regeneration project at the time.
